Vengono utilizzate entrambe le caratteristiche relative: caloroso, fresco, freddo, molto freddo, che mostrano quanto il Tef previsto sarà più alto o più basso della norma, e quelle assolute: il rischio di insolazione, il rischio di surriscaldamento, caldo, molto caldo, soffocante, molto soffocante, comfort, il rischio di raffreddore, il rischio di congelamento che si verificano quando vengono raggiunti il Tef, i Tef, la temperatura dell'aria o una combinazione di determinati criteri.
